Dear
ILACHEROS:
We hope you are doing well and that
you are looking forward to a great summer. The ILACHE Board is considering
moving on a project that has surfaced from time to time within the Board itself
and also has arisen as a recommendation advanced broadly within the
organization. After the last ILACHE conference, various members again suggested
the idea of initiating an ILACHE Leadership Institute. There are various models that have been put
forward including a leadership project geared to working professionals and
another focused on developing student leaders.
We would like to get your ideas about a possible ILACHE leadership
institute initiative. What do you think
is the primary necessity or priority at this time and what might be your
expectations of such an effort? Would you like to participate in the
development of this endeavor such as a member of the planning committee, the
elaboration of a curriculum, the operation of the Center or the publicity and
recruitment of the first class of fellows?
We are planning a brainstorming
meeting to discuss these issues. Attendance does not obligate you to be further
involved although you will have the opportunity to volunteer to be part of any
subsequent subcommittees that are organized.
The meeting will take place on June 20, at 5PM on San Augustine's Main
Campus, 1345 West Argyle on Chicago's north side. If you would like to join by
telephone, the conference call dial in number is 712-432-0927 and the participant code is 132409#.
Please let us know if you would like to
attend this meeting. RSVPs can be made by emailing me at gabrieleagle590@gmail.com or calling
773-262-0156. Please provide your contact
information: full name, email, telephone number and complete street address. I
hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,

Leonard
Ramirez, Ph.D.
